To promote sporting talent of specially abled sport person, Jammu university has organised a cricket tournament for deaf and dumb cricketers. Six teams from north zone are participating in the tournament. Jammu University authorities say the aim is to make them feel they are equal and important part of the society and sporting fraternity. The university plans to hold such tournament for blind sportsperson too shortly.
