Minha Latif Bhat is the first female political candidate from the valley who won DDC election on the BJP ticket from kakapora has resigned from the party . BJP has given ticked to Showkat Gayoor from the Pampore assembly constituency and Arshad Ahmad Bhat from the Rajpora assembly constituency of district Pulwama.
