Jammu: The maiden Convocation of Central University of Jammu is will be held on March 18 wherein Degrees and Medals shall be awarded to the successful candidates in the presence of Nobel Laureate Dalai Lama and Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh.
Honoris Causa degrees shall also be conferred upon Dr Jitendra Singh and former Chief of Army Staff Gen N C Vij.
Besides two special Medals of J&K Bank, one each for male and female, total 43 Gold Medals shall be awarded to the toppers in different subjects. Fourteen Ph D, 20 M Phil and 885 PG Degrees shall be awarded during the convocation.
However, only the toppers, Ph D and M Phil awardees shall be invited on the dais for receiving the Medals and Degrees from chief guest Dalai Lama, guest of honour Dr Jitendra Singh, Chancellor of the Central University and Vice-Chancellor Prof Ashok Aima.
