The 21-day lockdown, imposed to curb spread of coronavirus, is the biggest step ever taken by a government in independent India. It impacts every Indian’s life, economically, socially and psychologically. The biggest causality of the lockdown are daily wager earners, maids. These are jobs considered by many “menial” but are life line not only of the economy but of Indian middle class.
