State congress Unit today opposed the Government decision to amend Municipal Laws to choose the Mayor through secret ballot. The State Administrative Council (SAC) on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Governor had approved the Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Laws Amendment Bill 2018 to pave the way for the election of mayors and deputy mayors of the municipal corporations through secret ballot.
