Udhampur: Congress activist held protest demonstration and blocked Jammu-Srinagar national highway against solid waste dumping by Udhampur in and around river Tawi.
Protesters alleged it’s polluting water of the river which is being supplied to the town. Chief Executive officer along with Tehsildar reached the spot and assured protesters that they will stop it after a month as alternate measures are being set up. The protest was called off after the assurance.
