Chief Engineer P N Bali, who was transferred with in months had said that politicians, bureaucrats are ‘pushing’ officers to corrupt practices . He said this nexus is not agreeing to accept the administrative reforms but is rather forcing the engineers to continue with old corrupt practices.
Bali said he tried to bring about accountability in the system but was mocked at acting like Prime Minister Narendra Modi. HE said when the department got funds he was transferred as the lobbies felt they will not get their ‘cuts’.
