It’s death and destruction along Jammu borders as Pakistan mortars continue to pound residential areas and border posts. 12 people have died in latest round of ring along the border and about 1 lakh migrated to safer places.
Suchetgarh village along the border is a deserted place. Temporary sheds of Bakerwals putting up at Jeora farms are pounded by Pak firing are still smouldering. In holy month of Ramzan, they don’t have place to offer namaz and their only prayers are for safety of their chidren and livestock, which is their only source of livelihood.
Pak firing has not only killed innocent people but has snuffed the life out of livestock, which are as dear to the people here as are their own children. While families have shifted to safer places ther safety of livestock is their huge concern . They are not able to feed them putting their survivial at great risk
Today after 9-days There was a lull in firing along the International Border . The shelling and firing stopped yesterday afternoon along the IB. But for how long the temporary peace will stay no one is sure and going up past experience everyone is keeping fingers crossed
