With the onset of winters in Kashmir, Harissa becomes the most preferred delicacy in winters in Kashmiri . Harissa is a  popular dish among Arab countries where it is known as harees  made of meat and finely ground wheat.  Harissa is famous in Kashmir too and is cooked during winter. It is   an old traditional mutton recipe and is served with Kashmiri bread or can also have with rice. People generally eat it during  breakfast to ensure body warmth during winters.
