Traffic movement remained suspended for the third consecutive day on the Jammu-Sriangar national highway after an avalanche hit Jawahar Tunnel and landslides reported at many places between Ramban and Ramsu.
Border Roads Organisation (BRO) responsible for the maintainance of the highway has already pressed in machines and men into service to clear the landslides and avalanche.
There is also a forecast for heavy snowfall during the next 48 hours. divisional authorities have also issued warning that surface and air traffic could get affected.
