Army is giving training to Village Defence Committee members in Rajouri district. Some of the VDC member are active since 1997 and have take part in many anti-terrorist operations. The training comes days after Government shelved the plan to disarm VDC members above 60-yr . Army said VDC is a huge deterrent to terrorism.
