The Chief of the Army Staff General Manoj Mukund Naravane is making his maiden visit to Kashmir next week to have an on the spot assessment of security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and along the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan. He will also visit Siachen Glacier, the highest battlefield in the world. On his maiden visit to Jammu and Kashmir after taking charge, new Army chief will visit Kashmir and review the security situation and operational preparedness of the security forces. He will visit Victor Force Headquarters in Kupwara for security review.
