The Amarnath ji Shrine Board has curtailed the yatra period this year to just 40 days. In 2015, the yatra period was 59 days and in 2016 it was further reduced to 48 days.
The yatra shall start simultaneously on both the routes from June 29th and culminate on the day of Raksha Bandhan (August 7th)
