A weapon snatching bid by militants was foiled in JK Bank branch Khrew area of Pampore on Friday. The bank guard seriously injured.
Police said that two militants attacked the Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch Khrew guard to snatch his service rifle. The guard resisted, resulting in his seriously injuries. The injured guard was later shifted to the public health centre Khrew for the treatment. The injured guard identified as Mumtaz Ahmad Bajad son of Mum Bajad, Tehratpora Handwara, Kupwara. Security forces launched a search to nab the attackers.
