Vidya Devi is the leader and owner of a jute bag manufacturing unit set up under self help group by KHADI VILLAGE INDUSTRIES BOARD UDHAMPUR to provide help to the women from marginalised families and encourage them to set up livelihood generating avenues.
The SHG comprises 25 members who made only hand made products of Jute , like Jute bags , File covers, Pouches .The women said that monthly group savings made them financially independent. Being, a part of the SHG, has given them a self identity
