Kathua: A truck allegedly being used for smuggling bovine animals was set on fire in Hiranagar tehsil, district Kathua early Monday morning.
According to reports the truck moving in Pathwal village was spotted by some locals at around 10am. They got suspicious and stopped the car and found bovine animals .
The driver and conductor were brought down and later the truck was set on fire after freeing animals. driver and conductor later fled away from the spot. However, it’s not clear where was the truck heading for.
Later police team reached the spot to diffuse the situation.
