The Army today paid tribute to three of its comrades who were martyred during Counter Terrorist operations on Apr 1, 2018 n Kachdora village of Shopian District in which five militants were eliminated.
Lt Gen AK Bhatt, Chinar Corps Commander and all ranks, paid homage to the martyrs .
Late L/Nk Nilesh Singh, Gnr Arvinder Kumar and Sep Hetram sustained bullet injuries during the fierce operation in Kachdora village of Shopian district. They were provided immediate first aid and evacuated to hospital but succumbed to their injuries.
Lance-naik Nilesh Singh(31- yr) had joined army in 2003. He was from village Nagri in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh and is survived by his wife and a son.
Gnr Arvinder Kumar joined the Army in 2012 and was from Sariana in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. He survived by his parents, a sister and a brother.
Sep Hetram (25-yr) was from Sonigasar Godars in Bikaner, Rajasthan. He had joined army in 2013 and is survived by his wife and parents.
The mortal remains of the martyrs were flown for last rites to their native places.
