The CBI special CBI on Thursday acquitted all the accused in the 2G spectrum allocation case. Those acquitted include former telecom minister A Raja and Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi. Former PM Manmohan Singh had said the judgment speaks for itself.
The court cited lack of substantial evidence while delivering the verdict. The trial had started after the CAG alleged 122 2G licences were given to telecom operators at throwaway prices, causing a loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore. The SC scrapped the licences on February 2, 2012.
