Kashmiri Pandits who were operating shops which were demolished by the JDA have criticised the anti-encroachment drive. They demanded adequate compensation. JDA, however, said it was done to reclaim 25 kanals land which is to be constructed flats for economically weaker section. JDA had also said 12 dome quarters, 22 kiosks were under illegal possession as the owners have already rehabilitated, while 10 months notice was also issued.
