The wildlife department achieved a major success on Saturday morning by capturing the man-eater leopard alive at Zumboorpattan in the Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The captured leopard is believed to be the same one that mauled a four-year-old girl to death on June 5 at Zumboorpattan, Uri. Local residents expressed relief and hailed the wildlife officials for their efforts in capturing the leopard alive.
This achievement comes after a collaborative effort by the wildlife department, police, and local residents to track down the leopard responsible for mauling the minor boy, Junaid Ahmad.
