The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (J&KPSC) is facing a slowdown in its operations due to the delay in appointing a new Chairman after the previous one retired last month, causing a halt in interviews, selection lists, and the postponement of exams scheduled after November 21st.
The delay in appointing a new Chairman has taken a toll on selected candidates, causing a suspension in their recruitment process. For instance, the selection lists for nearly 200 Assistant Professors recently chosen in the Higher Education and Health and Medical Education departments have not been forwarded to the department for the recommendation of the selection list of candidates.
“It has been more than a month since I was selected, but there has been no progress,” an aspiring Assistant Professor in Environmental Science said.
