Mushroom cultivation is becoming increasingly popular in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to Chief Agriculture Officer Udhampur, Sanjay Anand , around 500 above farmers adopt Mushroom farming this year . He added that over 1 lakh bags of mushrooms have been cultivated in the district Udhampur , yielding over 3000 quintals of mushrooms. This has resulted in a revenue of at least Rs. 6 crores for the farmers of Udhampur. It is also providing livelihood to women farmers.
