87-year-old Rakkhi wife of Bashir Ahamed from Badali village of district Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir is surely a role model for the country.
Rakkhi inspired by open defecation free (ODF) under Swachh Bharat Mission(SBM), the Centre’s flagship programme, decided to construct her own toilet.
Since she didn’t have money she decided to construct on her own .
Now she has become an role model
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur said that people are changing their traditional mind-set.
“ I was shocked to know that an 87-year-old women built toilet without any help .I salute the spirit of the women and everyone should get a lesson from her,” said deputy commissioner.
