Jammu: Annual Amarnath Yatra this year would be of 46 days starting from July1. It will conclude on 15th August.
The decision was taken in meeting of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board chaired by Governor Satya Pal Malik, who is also chairman of the board,
7,500 Yatris, per day on each of the two routes would be allowed, excluding Yatris who would travel by helicopters. Advance registration for the pilgrimage can be made through 440 designated branches of Punjab National Bank, Jammu and Kashmir Bank and YES Bank, located in 32 States and UTs.
Registration will start from 1st April . The Board approved proposal for Online registration of limited number of intending pilgrims per day on pilot basis
It will be in addition to the existing modes of registration. Yatris intending pilgrims will have to produce Compulsory Health Certificates
Person below the age 13 years and above f 75 years will not be permitted The Board directed CEO to take timely steps for ensuring uninterrupted telecom connectivity in the Yatra.
